Yeah, these are apparently a European model. I guess Musician's Friend got a good deal on a bunch and sold them off cheap.

I figured so. Even though we only paid 23 dollars for these, its not unreasonable to expect some kind of manufacturer warranty. I would expect Musicians Friend to at least state this on the product page.

I mean a lot of sound. A lot.

If you could turn the earpiece around all the way you could listen to them that way.

Awe what the eff. I just got these because I thought I was getting a good deal. I feel duped.

I guess you have to factor in shipping from Europe. Most merchants here are selling the K420s for 60 dollars. Good build quality and sound for the price.

Got these and they sound very good to my ears. I was using Beats SoloHD before and these sound a bit better. One of the best over the ears I've heard. I've been buying a ton of IEMs so having a good sounding over the ear is a nice change. vs the SoloHD, I'd say this sounds a bit better. I'm using instead of the SoloHDs for 2 reasons: 1) more airy so my ears aren't as hot and 2) open ear design allows me to hear people and phone ring. I'm using them at home so no problem with bothering people.

I should warn you all, you're going to have a problem with e-mail volume from your new "Friend". It may very well be a volume you will call spam.

I started an order for these headphones in spite of my voiced reservations, but then at the last second I balked and closed the browser. A day or two later I get an e-mail from Musician's Friend - they used the e-mail address I had used to begin the order - reminding me that I still had an item in my shopping cart and had I forgotten about it? Well of course I had because I didn't intend to follow through with the order, so I immediately went back to their site and properly cancelled the order by emptying the shopping cart.

KEEP IN MIND THAT I NEVER CREATED AN ACCOUNT OR PROFILE, NEVER COMPLETED AN ORDER.

So what have they been doing ever since? Sending me promotional e-mails EVERY SINGLE DAY, using the e-mail address they extracted from the cancelled order. I tried the usual unsubscribe route, twice, but the fine print said it would take TEN DAYS. Finally I'd had enough and I called them, not only to hasten the process but also give them some polite but terse criticism for creating a "pre-existing relationship" where none at all existed.

Be prepared to deal with a LOT of mail from these people. They apparently never got the memo that the hard sell isn't in vogue any more.
