Metro won't work at this low resolution. It doesn't even work on 10' netbooks , unless hacked.

As long as the UI (live tiles) run, I should happy with this LCD for now. While at some point I may want to run some METRO apps, until then I'll be using normal apps which will then be booted on my big monitor. This LCD will be used as a push button quick launcher and real time info widgets while not eating up my desktop. At least in theory, time to for me Google about the resolution requirements and check to see if live tile info (mail, twitter feed, etc) will still display at lower resolutions in the METRO start screen.

First, I meant horizontal pixels. Stupid me

You made a good point, though I'm pretty sure that if you can't run it, the Live Tile won't work. Meaning, it may work if you run and set it up on a bigger monitor first, then switch.

Most likely those requirements are for a primary monitor in a single monitor setup. You should be fine with this as a secondary for the most part, as the screen resolution the OS sees is just the two monitors added together, not individually. You couldn't use this as a single monitor, but you'd be stupid to anyways.

Not sure if anyone is still monitoring this thread, but... I got this thing in the mail today, trying to set it up as a third monitor. Video drivers work fine, but I can't get the touch adapter to work how I want it to. When it sets to calibrate, the calibration keys to my *main display*. So - after setup, if I touch the bottom corner of the 7" monitor, it moves my mouse to the bottom left hand corner of my main screen. Obviously - I don't want this touchscreen as an alternate mouse on my main screen, I want to be able to touch to commands on the 7" screen. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I tried googling & setting it up multiple times.

also in win 7 dont forget windows key+p is a shortcut to switching monitors(.mirror/ extended /main only) handy if you wish to turn off the 2nd display
