How to suspend email account and delete large blocks of email
I have an old Yahoo email account that has some emails in it that I'd like to keep, but plenty more that I don't want, haven't opened, and just want to delete. How can I suspend an email account so that the account stays open, but no new emails can come in? Also, how can I delete large blocks of emails at a time, but still be able to choose some that I don't want to delete? For example, if the email account has been open since 2004 and has 5,000 emails in it, I'd like to delete every single email from 2005 to the present, which would be thousands of emails. Use wisely your power of choice.

Would it be easy to save to your hard drive the contents of the emails you want to keep? And then simply close the email account?
