Actually you can, with a xk3y. You'll need a lot of stuff to get it done. Plus the right drive to rip your originals into a proper ISO image...... unless you're "downloading" your games....

yep, the 120 is showing as "unavailable" right now. I went with the 60...still a good deal though

was contemplating over whether or not to get the 120gb one since I didn't need it. When it wasn't available anymore my decision was made for me. $19.41 total for the 60gb

Also i have a USB 80G HDD connected right now, but xbox only sees 16GB. Can I partition it into multiple 16G drives?

Is so easiest software to do it and keep games I have on the drive now?

Of course the 120GB is sold out. I checked it at midnight and the price wasn't set yet. Check again, and it's sold out.

This always happens. These deals are so frustrating some times.

Edit: Meh, whatever. Just got the 60GB instead. Total cost with tax and shipping was $19.65. Used Shop Discover for 5% off so total cost should be ~$19.

Good deal for the 120GB version.

Just remember that you can score 250GB drives on eBay for $50 or less. I bought one for my fat a few years back. Took about 5 minutes to move it over to my new Slim. The ones on eBay even have the tray so you don't have to monkey around with putting in spacers.

Like others I wondered how I could use that much space. A few years later and I'm down to 95GB's. That's all game stuff (no movies/music). If you load your games on your hard drive and have lots of XBox Live titles you can chew through your space in no time.

I'm not 100% sure but when I last looked at this you were limited to 16GB's for all external drives and partitioning was not possible. If you create multiple partitions it will only read the Primary partition. Again - I would check it out but that is what I recall.

Everything! Games load faster, Xbox runs quieter, downloads all in one place instead of on a million flash drives, etc. A hard drive is an absolute necessity for a console. One particular example is that he could never, ever put any game on his puny 4GB flash. Hell, I have well over 30GB of nothing but additional DLC from a few great games on my 250GB drive, not to mention all of the Live games.

120gb was out so I picked up a 60gb.

Pretty sure MS said no games would REQUIRE a hdd, because some xboxes don't come with them.
