DEAD: t-mobile Value Plan $100 for 5 lines (2 unlimited talk/text/data 2GB at 4G, 3 lines 500 minutes each) via add a line $0 value, $5 classic, free nights&weekends&t-mobile

This is cheap, but DO NOT go with t-mobile. They're the worst customer service providers and WILL squeeze out money from you. I've had MAJOR inconveniences with them ever since October of last year. PM me if you want to take over my line, I have 3 lines and all elligible for a new contract and phone upgrades.

If you're not worried about data, then it isn't a bad deal. But with the value plan you would be paying $120 or less depending on discounts, BUT each line would get 2GB of data. 200mb is good enough for e-mail, facebook but thats about it. Also with the nexus4 and LG L9, quality phones can be had for a good price. Good luck!

Depends on the type of smartphones t-mobile gave u practically free and also your data requirements. If you got and only want extreme high end Samsung smartphones like Note2 or Samsung S3 on all 4 lines for free, and you are "ok" with 200mb of data, then it's an ok deal. If you are getting low/middle range smartphone then I don't think it's a good deal.

For value plan, you can get: 4 lines for $80: (4 lines sharing 1000 minutes & unlimited text, 4 lines with 200mb data each, overage 10 cents per MB) BEFORE discount. You will save $90 monthly to buy the smartphone of your choice, such as Google Nexus 4 for $300 each.

t-mobile stores almost always give u free activation. Just tell sales person, it's a deal breaker, get their card, and prepare to walk out to another t-mobile store.

First, check t-mobile coverage, then decide what kind of phones u want. If you want samsung branded ones like S3, S4 or Note2, then get it subsidized with classic first and then do migration to value plan. Migration is $200 per line. So, it's best to activate 2 lines first if you want 2 subsidized smartphones from t-mobile, then migrate those 2 line. Then later add the other 3 lines when u are already at value plan. Free add-a-line special ends on March 23rd, so u need to do all above before then.

Have you actually done the "upgrade on Classic, then immediately migrate to Value" plan? I've been thinking about doing this myself to take advantage of all the upgrades on my family plan. The major question is whether I can remove the data plan requirements from the upgrades once I switch over to Value.

Yes, I have done migration from classic to value plan within couple of weeks. I kept my data plan as is since I want to use it. I HEARD of other doing classic plan, paying etf of $200 and then move to pre-paid $30 5GB walmart plan. You may want to ping them with direct experience in that 5GB walmart thread in SD, since they breaking contract outright by moving to prepaid.

My original Plan: 5 lines for ~$180: 3000 minutes shared, 200 mb 4G data each line

New Plan: 5 lines for $120: (2 unlimited talk/text/data with 2GB at 4G) + (2 line unlimited text, 2GB at 4G, 500 minutes each) + (1 lines unlimited text, 500 minutes each)

-$10 Loyalty Discount
-10% Freelancers Discount

Did you have any MIR with tmobile before you migrated to value plan? I fear that I may not get my MIR if I migrate before it gets processed.

i do not have any pending mir. Pending mir will be invalid doing migration. T-mo very picky about rebates..

Hi everyone, I tried reading thru the first post and i am little confused...I need two plans as follow, can you please explain how it would work? Also, where do I buy phones? I am coming from Sprint...

One family plan has 4 lines- 2 need data plan (preferably 2Gb each)..at least 2000 minutes total...
One family plan has 3 lines- all 3 need data plan....at least 2000 minutes total

Also, does t-mobile allow roaming? We tried T-mobile 10 years ago and were not pleased with coverage, I wonder how much it's improved....TIA...

Does this mean that the third line have unlimited data also? or just high speed at first 2GB of data?
