Did both online chat and phone chat, their logic is that so people do not get the best of both worlds, they are apparently aware of this trick that many people use to get discounted phone then switch over to get discounted plans.

if they are preventing people from switching from classic to value plan for xxx days, it HAS TO BE IN THE ORIGINAL classic contract. So, the question then, is what is in the classic contract when signed, any mention of 90 days??? how and what are the justification relating to the contract?

fyi, I did the change end of 2012. For others thinking of doing this now, just be caution, and ask (NOT to the same salesperson) if switch from classic to value can be done within a month???...

Finally going to throw pride aside and ask for some guidance/help/suggestions.

I'm currently on a classic Family 1000 min with MyFaves, unlimited messaging, and one add a line. No data. [The MyFaves option greatly helps keeping us below the 1000 min cap]. My 15% corp discount helps reduce taxes by nearly half. My monthly bill averages ~ $ 98.

It's been years since I've upgraded. I'm giving serious consideration to upgrading to a smartphone, maybe two.

If you were in my shoes, what would you do? Go the Costco route, buy two or three high-end smartphone, wait a few days then pay the ETF and switch to a Value Plan? Switch to Value Plan and buy one smartphone out of pocket. Or ride out the current classic plan to see how the proposed TMo rate plan plays out (losing myFaves to unlimited talk would ease some concerns).

My last comment is in regards to how some of you all manage to get by with little or no talk minutes. How do you do it? Do you route all of your incoming/outgoing calls through VOIP on your smartphone?

1. Do you have really good T-Mo service in your area? This might be tough to answer but do a quick google search to see what your up/down speeds are. If they're good, you can use GrooveIP on Android or Talkatone on iPhone to take care of alot of quick conversations. In fact, I used those to make calls to Canada for free and it worked great (on different networks though. However, my mom and sister use GrooveIP on T-Mo and they say it works fine).

2. Bridge to Value works fine but try to take advantage of it when they have a sale going on (S3 being free, Note II being free, etc.)

4. Aren't they offering a completely new plan now? Also, I have a Nokia Lumia 810 and I can tell you, I LOVE Windows phones. They don't have a Voip solution yet but there are a few coming out soon. Nokia has also mentioned that they're coming out with a Lumia 920 aluminum variant. Something to certainly check out.

If you didn't already figure it out on T-Mobile website, it's $90 for 3 lines, each with 2GB data. After the AAL promo is over, it'll be $105 for 3 lines.

I havn't heard anything about Value plans being replaced by the "Uncarrier" plan you're referencing. Can you provide a source?
