How Long Does It Take To Check Status of HP Rebate?

I sent my Rebate form with its required documents via Certified Mail on Saturday (Using Certified Mail to send a rebate defeats the purpose of Rebates, lol). Today, Monday, USPS showed a delivery confirmation that the rebate materials have been delivered. However, when I check the status of the rebate online the system gives an error that no details could be found. Shouldn't I at least see a status that the required materials were received? Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

The rebate status is seldom if ever updated on the date the rebate processor receives the rebate submission.

Some rebate processors have a two step process: received status soon after receipt and then a valid/invalid status when the rebate is actually processed.

Most rebate processor have a one step process: rebate submissions are held in limbo until the rebate is processed.

Young America (www.web-rebates.com) processes most HP rebates and I believe they subscribe to the one step process.

EDIT: Do not take this as standard, but my last HP rebate was mailed-in on 06/15 and the email noting the rebate was valid was received on 06/22.

Is the Young America website the same as,

That is the HP specific version of the Young America website.

When you receive the email with the tracking ID, enter the tracking ID into both websites and see what happens.

EDIT: see below for the output from both sites on the same tracking number.

so how many days (estimated time frame) should I probably give until I see some form of status on either of the above mentioned rebate websites?

Also, do the rebate status emails ever get placed in the spam folder of your email?

No idea what the standard is on HP rebates but I would not start worrying until 30-45 days or so.

I'm sure a rebate status email has ended up in a spam folder every once in a while.
