nice deal but looks dead as price shot up.

I would be all over this if I did not get a used wireless one for about this same price.

Totally agree. With only $6 difference why would anyone want to be constrained by the wire?
My notes say that Meritline had these brand new for $17.95 in December 2011 and GoHastings for a tiny bit less in December 2010. So while it may be the cheapest Amazon has ever had (by less than $1) I don't think it's the cheapest these have ever been.

There was a latency test done here [shoryuken.com] and he discovered that there was virtually no latency difference in his tests. Now, that being said; a wired controller WILL deliver it's command every time with no risk of interference (unless you have a path of induction coils or something between you and your Xbox). Wireless has come a long way, but it is still open to interference. Most people wouldn't notice a difference, but for me all I use is my wired; plus it doubles for PC use.
