I did this a year ago and never received anything. I did get my original $250 for signing up for the bundle package at the beginning. Good luck if you try this, it really doesn't hurt but don't expect to actually get anything.

my mom has att on autopay now. she says dealing with att is a nightnmare. she is unsure if she can get off it, she says she will probably just cancel her credit card as that would be easier then dealing with att. i bought her a new is phone too, so she needs to cancel her service soon. she has $150 left on her att phone too, it is a shame there is no way to get any of that back...

Don't bother, AT&T is a scam company. If you don't call infinite time and ask your reward card, they won't mail it to you. It took them six months to correct my billing statements after I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I dont know if thats true.. I have autopay on may be for last 3-4 years.. never had an issue..
yes, tech support , specially for internet is not good.. i have uverse internet and their tech support is closed on weekends, very inconvenient.. however, the wireless tech support is excellent..
been an att wireless customer for last 6-7 years, and uverse for last 2 years..

In for 1. I don't care for AT&T customer service and generally their corporate store people are not good either. I have nothing to lose with this deal. Switching to a different provider when my contract is up this summer anyway. Thanks OP!!

Here's a few tips for cutting through all the bullsh** with AT&T! They are masters at hiding the real terms behind confusing program names, fancy charts & graphs. All you need to know about ALL of their internet offers, including price$ for each, is at the following links:

U-verse Internet (meaning the new fiber DSL service they are forcing all new customers to switch to, and also pay a "fiber box installation fee" for at their residence):

Fast Access DSL (meaning the older & cheaper copper wire DSL service they are slowly phasing out, generally new customers can't request it, existing customers are grandfathered):

Familiarize yourself with the services, program names, $$ amounts, and other offer terms. You'll have a leg up on the CS rep during negotiation if you can articulate exactly which service and offers you want. Normally their offers are good for 1-year terms, and you'll have to cancel in a year and go through the whole process again to avoid paying their insane regular prices.


Other AT&T negotiation tips:
*Tell them you want some credit for the AT&T DSL modem/Wireless Router if they make you buy one. Your other option is to buy one on eBay or Craigslist.

*HIDDEN FEES: Make sure you argue like he|| about paying the fiber box installation fee for U-verse... it's THEIR own company hardware and will stay at your residence even after you move. Ask for a credit on your first or second monthly statement.

*REWARD REDEMPTION: As other users have already suggested, make sure take SCREENSHOTS of all your rewards redemption info (press 'print screen' or 'Prt Sc' button on your computer keyboard while the window is open, then open a Word document and press 'Paste', then save the document with that image in it) because AT&T is notorious for not honoring their reward offers. You'll have to threaten to cancel your service, then talk to Retention department and send them your screenshot to prove you're entitled to the Reward.

Sounds like a case of user error on your part. You are the one that picked the features. You are the one that did an add a line. I am going to guess instead of doing an add a line you did an entirely new plan for your one phone you added. Thus not having the correct features you thought you had. Just a guess on my part. Now if you would have added a line at an AT&T Retail Store your odds of having such an issue would have almost been zilch. Sure reps may make a mistake here and there since nobody is perfect but that rep and store would have taken care of your issue immediately.
