When was it $10? I think people are confusing the offers. As mentioned, going to paperless billing was $10. Auto Pay was $25 as far back as September 2012.

That's when I cancelled my auto pay and reenrolled. Waited it out and of course never heard anything so called the other day. Rep said he put in the info (yea right!) and I should get the card in 4-6 weeks.

I'll call again after 4 weeks and this time ask for a $25 credit.

Because it can't be said enough AT&T sucks. This $25, if you even get it, is not worth the headache. I find that when people do autopay they tend to not check their bills for error and I bet that A&T counts on this and loves it.
C'mon. What do you think they are doing?

I have auto pay. I get an email with the amount of the bill. I can then easily check it online. I also get a paper bill in the mail a few days later. Never had an issue with any "errors".

I wish you can post the chat transcript. It's very YMMV as at one time months ago when I was on the phone with one of the reps she just credited me the $10 to my account and this is about the paperless billing. And then I called about the autopay and the rep said that she could not just credit the $10 to my account she had to send me a $10 Prepaid Visa Card instead which you have to wait for a couple of weeks.

Anyway, I unsubscribed to autopay, logged out then signed up again using the OP's link. Let's see what happens. I'm also going to try the chat rep route...maybe I can dbl dip....hehe.
It was over the phone. I just called and it was a general guy. Told him I had a question about my texting plan ( I got a free 6 months and I wanted to know when it ended) so he told me and I mentioned the 25$ he said he doesn't know anything about that but let me just give you 25$ on your statement.

Updated Wiki with this:

ATT never honors any deal unless you repeatedly call in.
None of these offers will be automatic.
AT&T is very dis-organized.
CS department does not know what the marketing/rewards department are offering. They will transfer you around and around until you give up or get disconnected.
You get to call back and start the whole process over and wait forever on hold.
If you complain or threaten to cancel, then maybe, maybe they will give you a statement credit. YMMV. You have been warned.

You have been warned.
You make it sound so ominous. Many (including the Grand Master above) have reported success.

Seems to be well worth the effort, especially if you have/want auto pay anyway. Hopefully people will keep reporting their progress.

I have been enrolled with AT&T autopay for over 2 years now. After the initial hiccup, never had any issue since.

Same...AT&T is evil. No FaceTime for unlimited users is BS
Totally agree. However apple made it so that FaceTime is free with iphone5. It's also free through wifi for iphone4.

So glad that Apple is doing something to override the bs charges these carriers are coming up with

Wouldn't trust these crooks with your credit card number. Only other time I jumped at one of their scam offers was for a rebate, it took 90 days for it to arrive and it was a prepaid visa which expired in 30 days. Glad I no longer have any business with these weasels (and sorry to any weasels that I might have offended when I compared them to at&t, we all know weasels have much more ethics)

I'm in for it. Even if I don't get a card, setting up auto pay suits me fine. My bill for over 2 years now has always been the same. Thanks to my rollover minutes I never get overages and I have far more text messages than I use each month as it is. I however am pretty sure I'll get my $25. Even if I have to call them it's no big deal for $25. I can call when I make my commute home from work (love my bluetooth) and that will be a free call anyway.

Too many people love to jump on the AT&T hate bandwagon (much like WalMart hate). I find their CSR support is about average for any large company (which usually is a minor pain to deal with). I have their AT&T Wireless and where I live (San Jose, CA) it works better than any other service I've had (far better than Sprint, I can tell you that). My best friend has Verizon and my AT&T is about on par with his service. Sometimes I even get signal and internet when he has nothing.

I really don't get the amount of hate on this deal. People will jump through all sorts of hoops with rebates, price matching in store, trying to stack coupons, and other malarkey just to make $5 around here. On this one all you have to do is just sign up for an autopay (which everyone offers and most don't give you anything for it) and it's been nothing but, troll, troll, troll. Frown

Idiotic. If you don't have AT&T this offer does not apply to you, so the point is moot. The world does not need to know every deal you ARE NOT taking. T.Y.V.M.

And if you did have AT&T they already would have your credit card number.

If you took one of their "scam" offers, and they actually sent you what was offered, I guess it wasn't a scam then, was it? Did the card expire 30 days after you got it, or 60 days before? I hardly think they mailed you an expired card.

Thanks for posting this! I received $25 ATT credit which I am more than happy to get. I have been enrolled in autopay for many years now and didn't get the $10 reward earlier when they had a similar promotion. This time after a little persuasion, the online helper representative decided to give me the credit then and there which was a little surprising considering how unyielding ATT is. Worth it for few mins effort.

You might if you had a $25 bill that for several months of constant calling was over $150 and because it didnt get fixed late fees accrued even after it was supposed to have been corrected. Took 9 months to straighten out and after i moved another 5 months where bill should have been identical to the corrected bill but because instead of transferring service they set it up as a new service i was now paying double. It isnt trolling if the criticisms are legitimate and justified. Its a shitty company that is unable to do something as simple as correct billing for its service.
