My husband is a Charter employee in NC. They have just started changing their pricing structure. A lot of their prices should be lower if you bundle. I am wondering if maybe a lot of CSRs arent familiar with the new promos and pricing?? My husband just had a meeting on it, he hasnt even gotten actual paperwork on the new pricing yet
I tried talking with retentions and even online chat - both no go. I just got Charter installed 2 days ago, called that number, and after 10 minutes they took care of it nicely. Only thing is you HAVE to use there modem for easier customer support but they took care of the installation fee since I got it installed 2 days ago either way. TU and repped
so were you able to replicate the deal?? I tried twice through retention and they won't let..
I'm also interested in cancelling my current service and getting this, don't believe I am under a contract. Please let us know if you were able to do this, I've been looking for a better internet deal for a while.
just cancel and sign up under a different name to be safe..like wife or child or relatives. and downtime is about a day for Los Angeles, CA here
Do they give you a modem for free(it becomes subscriber's property..)? Or let you rent a modem for free? Big difference I guess....
good question, i do think it's free, it's through 3rd party which the rep told me when I tried to replicate the deal.
Can anyone familiar with Charter comment on how much extra in taxes/fees we could expect on the total bill?
depends on state i guess, here in So cal, it's a flat rate!!
Well it is available here in the Athens GA area, but to set up service I have to give my social security number to the phone rep or go to the Charter office. I would prefer to enter it in a secure website so no person has the full number. Blah.
Spoke to CSR she wasn't aware of this promo but did find promo.
She mention new customer only. I was within 1st month no exception.
Which I would have to cancel but don't want any down time.
She also mention since I have a slower speed I would be bump upto 30Mbps in the next 48hrs. So all in all I got a slight better deal than this(wont mention since it ymmv). List price for this only is 49.99 +10
She also mention they are restructuring their plans. She mention charter wants to do away with promo. Gl keep existing or signing up new customer. Remember don't give up keep trying.
The sale department guy said that the promotion is not for existing customer.
I got two year contract ($34.99/mon except modem lease fee) a few days ago after having Charter's internet service for 1.5 years.
Let me guess this is for new customers? I have been with charter for a year and a half now out of contract and the best they could do for me 2 weeks ago was 40 dollars at this plan when I called the cancellation department. I have my own equipment so I just pay the internet charge and taxes. So the total comes to 45 dollars a month. I'm in DFW at 76114 but there's no other high speed providers here besides charter.
I ordered earlier this year and got the 15mb for $20
