Apparently I'm the idiot here then. So how about you throw in some helpful advice for when people look in here they can get some useful information instead of some ethugs trying to act hard on the internet. This is stuff that I learned over the years when dealing with finance. How about you share some of your experience.

There are a lot of guides like this kicking around.
Getting down to basics, the only thing you need to do is make sure your spend less than you make. So your only two options are either make more or spend less (or a combination of the two). Easier said than done. Be honest with oneself. If you're the type of person that derives happiness from buying stuff, the first thing you should do is not budgeting or learning how to invest. Rather you need to change yourself... your lifestyle. Really it comes down to self discipline and balance. Between enjoying the fruits of one's labours vs saving/investing for a rainy day. |
