Perhaps you mean well. Perhaps you are showing tough love. But this could backfire. The same logic that says it is ok to raise premiums could be (ab)used to deny coverage altogether to repeat offenders. Let's not criminalize healthcare. Ok?

So one percent of aids patients are victims of faulty condoms. And maybe one percent of obese people are also "innocent." So what? Are we gonna let 99 guilty people get away with it in order not to punish that one innocent person?

So who determines "guilt"? Doctors? You will turn doctors into police or ins agents? That would be horrible.
