At&t u-verse internet deals live

I didnt even see this post! But today I did call in to get my bill lowered below $48 for 12mb, got transfered to retentiona nd they offered 18mb for 18 bucks off so I think I am at $34 a month. G/L to all

Uverse sucks BIG TIME! I made the mistake 2 years ago and switched to Att on a promo deal. They touted fiber optic speeds..right..as my house (and many others) still have copper wiring so that negates their speed claims..as in fiber optic only to the street. Tech shows up and spends the next 4 hours trying to get internet and tv to work. He leaves telling me everything is set up..not! I go online and speed test shows a notch above dial up..crap. Tv check shows it to have tiling on the picture and very laggy. I call Att (since the tech rep did not answer my numerous calls) and they said they can have someone out in 3 days..a truly wtf moment. They then tell me about the "upgrade modem charge" of additional $5. month on top of regular modem charge. I told them get this crap out of my house. I called Comcast, begged for a deal, and got high speed Blast for $29.99 for 12 months. Just reaching someone at Att is a ordeal with their way too many prompts and waiting..a seriously effed up company IMO.

I used online chat with Uverse and asked them if they could lower my bill. Lowered it from my previous promotion ($38 for 12mbps) to $32 for 12mbps. This was about a month ago. I asked nicely and it worked.

what, i got 24.99 for 12 months for 12mbps. called 2 weeks ago.

Existing customer in Bay Area of California. Was on the $24.99/month promo for 12mbps the last year but it ended and the bill jumped to $48/month.

Called in today (8/22) at 800-288-2020 (main number) and asked for "retention department" at the voice prompt. At first they suggest lowering speed to save $5/month. Said I was hoping to reduce my bill more and was offered $5 off/month for the next year without a contract. Asked for any other discounts, mentioned some dropped calls (also have AT&T wireless phones) and lost internet connections, but no dice. Tried another service rep, same offer (actually the 1st one offered $5 off/month for 6 months, the second offered it for a year). Accepted the lower speed and limited discount of $5 off/month for a year which lowered my bill by $10/month total. Meh.

Result: U-verse 6.0 mbps for $38/month for next year.

I also have two AT&T cell phones but that didn't help get a discount. I use combined billing but again, no additional discount offered.

They push U-verse TV pretty heavily for a "new bundle discount!" but it's not as cheap as Directv for me. Hopefully there will be more providers when we move and then we can get a lower rate, but we'll see.

AT&T: meh, as lame as Comcast and the other big corps, about the same low level of customer service and high cost.

my promo was about to expire ( 32-35$ ) for 12mb/s and asked if there were any promos , and they offered me 18mbps for 32$ ( SLICK) so i took it for 6 months. im gonna try extending the promotion to a year. i think i threatened to cancel but i forgot it was like 2-3 months ago

I basically have 2 options in my area, ComCrap or At&trash. Comcrap wants to charge me $50 installation then like $60/mo, plus equipment monthly. At&trash basically won't budge on their rates for existing customers. Where is the competition? Where is the free market when there is a duopoly and both options suck. There should be at least 5 to 10 unrelated companies offering service in every metro area for there to be any REAL competition. As far as At&trash, the service works WELL, as long as you don't mess with it, i.e. do not call customer service for any change(better yet, just DON'T CALL THEM PERIOD), etc etc.... because once they touch their greasy hands to your account you will have nightmares for months on end trying to straighten up your account. It took them over a month to install Uverse internet(after screwing up TWO orders through lack of coordination), after forcing me to switch from DSL with a phone line after the number got ported out. I wasted about a work week worth of hours, most of it on hold, on the phone with countless reps all over the place in every call center imaginable. The mess they created was so epic I was ready to throw in the towel. The level of incompetence and lack of coordination at At&trash is simply stunning. If there was any real competition this company would have been bankrupt a long time ago with all customers simply defecting out of there. In the end all they did was waive equipment and install charges, which while ok, was not nearly worth the wasted time and aggravation. At one point I wished the rep the company goes bankrupt because they are simply incompetent to the Nth degree. I'm still amazed this company somehow still operates with the level of mess they create. I think the products are great, but if it wasn't for the near monopoly the customer service issues would make this place go bust in a real free market.

OP's offer is no longer available, at least that's what my retention CSR told me.

$38 for 18 mbps with one year contract or
$33 for 12 mbps with one year contract or
$21.50 for 6 mbps for 6 months

I called - had 12MBps for 37$
5 months into the new promo...they said no more offers for 18MBps...can't upgrade now...

I called them couple of weeks back as my promotion of 18 Mbps for $24.99 expired. Now, they gave me 12 mbps for $29.99 which is good for a year. Something is better than nothing TWC's 8 Mbps is $29.99 for a year. I have settled with Uverse 12 Mbps

18mbps for $34.95 is the best deal I could find now. I was able to order it online with my existing account.
