Stop & Shop (CT, MA, NH, NJ, NY, RI) Deals

This is probably a silly question, but is the "scanner" with the $5 IAMS savings the self-checkout scanner? Is there a 'Savings' button on the screen? SnS isn't one of my regular stores, so I appreciate any help.

If you don't already have one, sign up for a Stop & Shop reward card. If you are a reusable bag freak (like myself) you are going to love this. Upon entering the store you can scan your card and receive a bar code scanner that you can use to personally scan your items. That means you can pack your bags as you're shopping which really expedites the whole check out process. As you walk around the store the bar code scanner gun with beep with sales and specials, some which are only for barcode gun users. Once you are ready to check out you go to one of the self check out registers scan your card, your barcode gun and then, voila! Your order loads onto the register.

When I was in the store there was a deal on hood ice cream. I think it was spend $25 on hood and get $5 OYNO anyone try this?

Not in this case, but please be aware for most, if not all instant savings deals (buy $x get Y off), when you put in a bag credit the instant savings usually disappears.

Sadly, the closest S&S to you DOES NOT have these scanners.

Pg 4 shows the Old El Paso promo - buy $7 worth, get free SnS shredded cheddar, up to $3 value.

There are MQs here [everydaysaver.com] for 60 c/any 3 taco shells. It's a Kroger site, but when I printed it, it does not say Kroger anywhere on the MQ. Does not say DND. It prints just like a bricks q, and it let me print 2. So I was thinking either:

3 taco shells $5
2 cans refried beans $2
1 bag SnS shr cheddar - free
minus 60 c MQ doubled
$5.80 oop for 6 items, or avg of 97 c per item. Not free, but cheap.

Or

6 boxes taco shells $10
1 SnS shr cheddar free
minus 2 - 60 c MQs doubled
$7.60 oop for 7 items, or avg cost of 1.08 per item.

The only glitch might be the price of the SnS cheddar, since the promo specifies max value of $3 credit towards the cheese. If the cheese is higher than say $3.50, might not be that great of a value.

I wonder if it is like that meat deal. Did anybody try just buying taco shells and see if they get a $3 instant savings without buying any cheese?

help please-in the previous weeks only 2x i was able to scan a large bag of iams dog food & the cat food q popped up on my scanner. I tried again & it always failed. last night i tried the puppy food & the dry food & nothing. I would love to stock up on some food for my kitty as well as take some to the shelter. any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated

The OP reported she got the $5 to pop up when she scanned a can of puppy food. Did you already try the can?

My store was out of Apple Cinnamon on the shelf too but I checked the Bargain Aisle that carries overstock of the weeks sale items/newer items and there was a full shelf of them there. I remember when the peanut butter and dulce de leche cheerios came out and there were great coupons - the spots in the cereal aisle were wiped clean (and even the lady restocking the cereal section said they were out) but I found plenty in the bargain aisle. Now I always check there for cereal, especially if it's a new one, they seem to carry more since they don't know what the demand is going to be.

Next weeks ad up at AFC. Still no CAT deals but some interesting instant savings deals and for you guys gas deals as well.

TYVM for the idea, but it's a no go. I scanned 3 boxes of taco shells and 2 cans of refried beans. Hit show subtotal, and got $7. Then scanned the 8 oz bag shr mozz cheese, which is on sale for 2.49 btw, hit show subtotal, and it stayed $7. I didn't bother scanning the 60 c mq, figured it would mess it up, so I just went to CS and got reimbursed.

Can't rep you again but thanks so much for trying. There are some buy 5 Kraft deals next week that are supposed to take $5 off meat items. Might make some good deals if it works meatless as before.

Are the honeynut cheerios included in the cereal/milk deal ?

Does the FREE candy (b2g1) apply toward the buy 8 gas deal ?

im going to guess it counts since its buy 8 it will show as purchased even though the price is $0. Will have to test to make sure though for sure. I swear last time it worked
