I know this will be controversial, but I'm having a little trouble with the ethics of this whole thing. In the past, excellent deals or MMs were based on a combo of stores and coupons and sales and catalinas combining for a great deal. This one is just working the store computer system to have it essentially take off a coupon twice. All of the savings are coming out of the store's pockets, because there are no manufacturer's coupons involved in getting the overage. For example, the All detergent ends up costing the store itself money in the example where it is Shelf Price, -store coupon, -store card savings. Everything is out of the store's pocket in that case and the store is paying you. Whereas with catalina deals, etc, it seems to be Shelf price, -store sales price, - manufacturer coupon, -manufacturer catalina and the store still makes money.
I know some people will say, if you're not comfy with it then don't do it (check). But I want to put some awareness out there. We need to treat our stores with care. Anyone else see it differently? |

The coupon is only coming off 1 time. Its just coming off for a higher amount because it's programmed to give you the coupon price with or without a card. Than you scan your card for card savings. Also your example only works for some. I have to pay 1.00 for the ALL. Its really all about your psp's on how these work just like a catalina deals. The amount of people who know this trick are very few just the same as the amount of people who know that catalina deals work on psp. Its really comes down to the same thing here. you are getting the deal off of psp. |

Having said all that I do these deals anyway. I'm not a perfect person and this is one of my flaws. I'm done with my say on this topic, everyone else can have their say, or not. |

Did anyone else have a problem with the $1 All mq from the 12/2 RP not scanning? I bought the All Small and Mighty type. Our ad is the no tomato/no juice version.
So the SCO attendant had to come over and manually deduct it. He stood there for a good 15 seconds just staring at my screen. I hope he didn't notice too much. Perhaps he was just checking that I hadn't already deducted it?? ![]() What we learned for next time - Use 2 different size olives, such as large or jumbo for the body, and small for the head. For the body, don't just make a slice down the side. It looks better if you actually cut out a small section for the white "chest" to show through. Spreadable type of cream cheese might be easier to pipe than the brick type. Either way, let it soften at room temp a few minutes before attempting to pipe it into the body. I put the cream cheese in a sandwich size zipper bag and cut off one corner, about the width of a pencil. I filled all the bodies, and then the kids assembled the rest. Have fun!

I plan to check all the Qs beforehand Also wanted to mention the pork loin I got had a barcode that was slightly folded over so it wouldn't scan. I had to cancel my transaction and go back and get another one. |
