Perhaps she just wanted them at the sale price?

If the clementines are sweet they can nicely in a light syrup. Great marmalade too

I want to thank evertyone on the Shaw's chat thread that donated part of their stash and sent me coupons to help support DSIL unit. Also want to thank the people on SD...one as far as Texas that sent me coupons to help support the cause hug

This is also known as the "Driven to Save More" coupon insert that was in the 10/28/12 Sunday newspaper. Of the 6 papers I got that day, only 3 had this insert. Great Q to get the total over $25 easily starting tomorrow.

You can buy as many clementines as you want if you pay their price

I tried freezing a couple of clementines and then thawed them a few days later to see how they would be. YUCK! The texture was fine but they tasted bitter and rotten. I won't be doing that again. Anyone who was thinking of trying it out, I wanted to save you the trouble.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to try putting a couple through my dehydrator tonight to see what they turn out like.

had a few good runs today as my mom took the kids and I was finally able to get out. I stopped at 3 stores and did 2 transactions each. Got Scott PT, Breyers, Phillie, and other free things where my coupons are going to expire soon (oreo's, iced tea, yakisoba). I did pick up some beef and pork ribs with manager peelies on them. All that stuff cost me under $40 and I was thrilled! I had to get dog food too so that added an instant $10 to an order. The meat added another $15 or so. I spent around $14 for everything else (made a mistake here and there) so very happy. Keeping my fingers crossed we have another good week starting tomorrow. Since getting home from Florida, we are poorer than poor and could use to get some cheap chicken as I don't have any meat in the house.

Did one order. They were running low on stuff.

This particular S&S, my Scott coupon wouldn't scan and neither would another but just ate it up.

Quite frankly, too lazy to do more laugh out loud

did you try to key in the barcode. I think ppl have done that when they had a fuzzy barcode. Some have even been told by employees to type in barcodes that don't scan (well, unless it is gs1...I think)

Barcode was clean. This is the same S&S where scanning cats require intervention.

Mine were bitter too but I found a recipe online to make marmalade out of them. The recipe specifically states it's great for clementines which are sour. I hate to throw them in the garbage so I'm going to give it a try.

Here's the recipe I found.

Did two more runs tonight, so many molding and rotting clementines at the store. Had to use a plastic baggie over my hand to pick through the boxes. My fingers went through a few rotten clementines, it was not pleasant.
