Rep points are to help new users see who is very reputable around here. The more rep points a member has the more likely they have a good idea of what they are talking about. Rep points help a little bit in that you can get more entries in the giveaways if you have a lot.
New member's posts can take some time to be approved depending on how many mods are on at the time and how busy they are. It could be right away or hours before they have time to take a look at new posts. We appreciate your patience.
