Did any one use it? And if it works? Does your source material has to be 3D or 2d shall work too
My wife bought me one a while back. I thought it would be complete garbage. On my old 46" sony rear projection hdtv it actually worked, and worked well. I tested it with my 3d bluray player and with a 3d dvd the effect was close to my living room actual 3dtv. Xbox 3d game looked great also.
as for upconverting 2d to 3d the effect was mediocre at best but using 3d source material it's pretty impressive overall. for 50 bucks it's worth it, just don't expect anything too amazing.

i tried calling time warner to see how much 3d service is. What a hassel. The Rep did now know what she's doing and her accent was so thick, I could not undrstand her. I thought this could be fun for the
Bought one also, for the price its worth a try and it seems pretty neat, didnt even know they existed before this or else would have already bought one.
I experimented on my pc with anaglyph conversion with iZ3D for games and PowerDVD for video files and DVD's on the fly conversion. The effect was pretty good, but the red/blue glasses caused eyestrain and the color wasnt that great, hope these amber/blue glasses will work better.
I have a PS3 with a bunch of 3D capable games so I mainly want it for that and of course I also have FiOS which some channels broadcast in 3D so that will be nice also.
2D to 3D will be decent just nothing amazing. This device seems to shine with content designed for 3D though rather then straight 2D conversion which is probably why alot of people arnt happy with it.
I think I would trust the reviewers at amazon over HSN, even then to a certain extent.
Just keep your expectations low with this device and you will probably be satisfied.
Link below is a recent review (June 13) for the item from someone who owns(or claims to own) a 3DTV for reference. Praises it, and says the firmware update cleans up the brightness issue with the dark glasses. Ive wanted a 3d set for a while but wasnt ready to invest the $1500+. Ordered this instead, worth $50 to find out if its junk.
