Why is Zyrtec so expensive?

I spent a week on allegra once, since on Rx it was slightly cheaper at the time to go that way, but it didn't seem to help me at all, I quickly asked to switch back. back when I needed the Rx, I did ocassionally forget to bring pills on a trip or be short a refill, and benedryl did work, but only in fairly large quantities for relatively little benefit.

given that I have a skin condition, the half life of the pills and the amount in me does seem to matter, I was once told I probably should have waited longer while switching to allegra for it fully build up in my system from taking it once a day for a few more days.

Those Costco Kirkland Cetirizine (5MG) pills are made by a very big American-based generic drug manufacturer. They should be top shelf stuff.

My niece and I take the Kirkland brand every day and they work really well. She has some pretty bad food allergies and is also very allergic to cats and breaks out in hives if she doesn't take one daily.

I have also taken different brands of cetirizine and they all seem to do the job, including cheapo Indian pills from Dollar Tree.
