Video games, like movies, have ratings these days and have their target audience. I play videogames as a leisure activity and am not OCD'd about any character or game. My little Pony is targeted for toddlers and yet most fans are adults.

If most fans are adults then you've clearly misunderstood the target audience. It's one thing if there are a few freakish pedos running around wearing giant Barney the dinosaur costumes... it's another if more adults and older teens enjoy an animated show or movie than kids... in which case it's clear who the target audience is.

No, it's targeted to kids. There at kids at my kid's schools that like that show that are 5-8 years old. Not exactly "toddlers."

It's NO different than Disney movies. Disney movies are targeted at kids - but they stream adult humor and entertainment through it to make it more appealing to adults, and to make adults more likely to take their kids see it. And you know what? IT WORKS!

So TV shows are doing the same thing now. So what?

It's genius. Because the more a parent likes something, the more likely they are to let their kid watch it. And when the kid watches it, they'll want all the merchandise.

You know what? I don't hate furries either. And I sort of steer away from threads or whatever that makes fun of them. It's not my thing but I as near as I can tell they aren't hurting anyone. Ditto hentai, manga, whatever. Anything can be abused and there is a section of society that will abuse anything. The rest of the people who enjoy a particular activity - whether sexual in nature or not - are just being themselves and liking what they like. More power to 'em.
