Is there a way to do this without entering a credit card?

Thanks for yet another free month of xbox live. Going on the 4th month courtesy of SD haha
If you are having trouble, log out of your account on microsoft.com, then log back in. (Mine was saying I was still gold even though my account expired this morning. I logged out, then back in, and it updated to free account) Should work no problem. Thanks! |

Dang it!! I have the same problem. It's linking to a no longer existing alternate e-mail account that I had entered several years ago, and now it's saying that my account can't be reset for 30 days. I can't get past that screen about an unrecognized computer. I've been on chat with Microsoft Support for the past 15 minutes, so we'll see if they can resolve it. |
