If you are taking votes for stores, I'll take a Fry's here. The Research Triangle Park area deserves a Fry's = we've got most of everything else. Hey, Randy, there are now 1.6 million people here, and it is not feasible to drive 6hrs each way to Atlanta.

For those asking about tax, you should be paying use tax these days on all of your purchases, if you don't pay sales tax. You should file that on your state income tax return (at least in all of the states I've lived in). I don't like paying tax - but we will be doing so shortly.

I'd like to see a map by city. I'm friends with my mailman and he said there's someone nearby that gets much of the same mail I do every day. I wonder if he's a Slickdeals member too. lol

I've never ran into another SDer, but I've know some have been places before me. The phrase, "Some guy was just here trying to do the same thing as you," tips you off.

Wow, it's really hard to differentiate between the various shades of blue on the map. Not the best design choice.

I would have thought that Ohio, the U.S.'s most coupon frugal state, would have at least made it to the top 5.

I was going to say the same thing. It should be percentage based off state population.

Many (if not most) federal offices nationwide run their network internet traffic through a Washington DC server or proxy and I'm willing to bet that's affecting the stats.

It will be interesting to see which state has fastest growing population of SD'ers. An yearly data for last 5 yrs will be great. Tracking on monthly basis might be too much of headache for mod's.

The reason I am asking is because 5.5yrs back I moved to TX and I find very few were aware of SD &/or FW. Many time I miss a deal, went to store after 2 days and find the product. Now if I am late by 2hrs its all gone. This was always the case in CA. Many time I went 5mins before store opens and 15-20 people are already in line.

I knew slickdeals wouldnt let us down... People always find something to complain about, especially when their state looses. Although, I cant believe you didnt account for commuters! What were you thinking
