Help with Linksys e2000
Hi fellow SDers. I appreciate any help i can get. I have a linksys e2000 and I am running windows XP pro on my pc. my problem is that my HP touchpad and galaxy sII don't get a strong signal from my router even when standing right next to it. My iPad and iphone get a strong signal anywhere in my house and my backyard as well, but I don't know how to get my other two devices to connect correctly. I am using WPA2/WPA Mixed Mode for the passphrase but I really don't know how to mess with the other settings. Any help will be appreciated.

If you're running on a mixed mode, A/B/G/N, then you're not going to get the full range and bandwidth as you would with an N exclusive network. I'm not sure if that is an option for you but I would recommend loading in a third party firmware like DD-WRT (is what I use for my e2000) to get the most out of your router.

With the basic Cisco/Linksys firmware, I believe it's under the Basic Settings. There should be an N-only mode. Now if your iPad, iPhone, Touchpad, and computers all have wireless N capabilities, then go for it. If not, then you're stuck with mixed mode and mixed results.
