http://www.creditchecktotal.com I've used them for a couple years and am quite happy. Regarding PIF versus removed, it is a big impact. With my wife, which I cited earlier, she had pretty good overall credit (outside of the many small medical collections), with only a few other blemishes (a couple late payments on two cards and some late payments on her student loan). After removing all the medical accounts, he score jumped close to a hundred points. After some more work on keeping it looking good, over the course of the last few years, her score is about 785. |

If for some reason this 30 year old female is still not responsible with her money than you sir have issues. I've heard that putting utility bills under her name and pay it off and that should help her credit a bit. It would show that things are being paid on time. Can someone confirm that?

Coming maybe, but utility bills certainly don't affect your CRs from the three main CRAs. Sure, maybe a mortgage specialist might look at CoreLogic's info if you don't have enough in your actual report, but that would solely be a secondary source of information. No credit card or typical consumer lender is going to query them, only one (or more) of the main ones. So paying utility bills will not help.
NOT paying them will however get put on your CR as a collection. |

For a car loan, she would almost certainly need a co-signer at any reputable dealership, but that could help begin her credit history. But obviously that could result in some long-term high monthly payments. The best bet would be a credit card, even a low limit one. She could get one and simply not use it, or become an AU on someone else's account (and never get the card). But I'm confused why an 18-year-old girl needs to get her big brother's permission to get a credit card? |
