Looks like a higher percent yield than the $25 for $200 prepaid card, doesn't sound like a bad deal to me at all.

A: No - a SSN is required to create the account.

A: No, only the primary account holder for the prepaid cards must provide this.

A: This is American Express, not Bob's Payday Loans and Beer - if you don't want to provide it then keep browsing for another deal.

alot of people with bad credit, child support dodgers, etc use these prepaid cards. They want your ss# so creditors or the irs that you owe money to can seize the money you load on your card and use the info against you in court.

Love my AMEX card but LOL at you guys if you're being hard credit checked for a $10 MM deal.
