SUPER strange Gmail inbox issue
Cut and pasted from my post in the Gmail forum, but after I posted it, I figured I'd get a better and quicker answer here. ![]() Here's a super strange issue for you. As of this past weekend all my e-mails between December 15, 2010 and June 29, 2012 just disappeared from being seen in my Gmail inbox on my desktop (Chrome and IE. FYI I slummed for a minute just to check to see if it was a Chrome/Android only issue), laptop (Chrome), RAZR and ASUS Transformer. The strange part is if I do a search for one of the e-mails within those dates, the e-mails show up in my search with no indication that they're in my trash, deleted or other folders. I also have no problem receiving new e-mails in my inbox. My last account activity does not show anything unusual, my filters are fine, they are not in my trash or deleted folders, I tried signing out and back in again etc., but nothing seems to get those messages back in my inbox. ![]() FYI I e-mailed Gmail and they responded within a minute saying:

It won't hurt at all to change your password. I would recommend it. I would also turn on Google's 2 step verification. It makes the process of someone signing into your account orders of magnitude more difficult if not impossible. http://googleblog.blog
