$25 Gamestop GC + $25 Googleplay credit
FYI, when I pre-ordered a Nexus 7 at Gamestop last night:Code:

Me: No. Should I be?
Saleskid: You'll get a $25 Gamestop giftcard for pre-ordering this tablet.
Me: Sweet. That's in addition to the $25 Googleplay credit?

The website says "Gamestop Gift Card offer available on any tablet over $150. Offer good from 6/25/12 to 7/8/12.", but does not list the Nexus 7 amongst the tablets on the promotion's webpage.

traded in an ipod touch 4G 8GB for $140 and $25 on a 4th gen shuffle toward the nexus 7. Could not be happier. Would have probably made less on ebay or craigslist.

$86 isn't that great, but what made the deal was no sales tax (store credit from trade-ins doesn't get taxed) and no shipping fees. I also didn't have to worry about money sitting in my Paypal account if I sold it on Ebay. Last edited by 123pop; 07-04-2012 at 05:11 PM.. |

Some of these trade in values are actually looking pretty good. I have a 2nd gen 8gb Ipod touch I could get rid of but I'm looking to get the Nexus phone. It's a shame they only have the tablet!
Btw how extensive do they check for quality of condition? Mine has typical wear but no scratches on screen. |

I was the first person who pre-ordered the Nexus 7 at my store and to trade in something toward it. The system was not updated, so it would help to print out the press release from earlier in the thread. The guy who wrung it up for me also had to go through e-mails they receive to find the proper code for the promotion.
