Will these only play on 3DS or will DS Lite play them?

I was going to get KH: DDD on release anyway, so the little bit of extra I can save is appreciated.

If you have a 3DS, you can download a demo for KH: DDD at nintendo's eshop.

Unless you've played the previous Kingdom Hearts games, I don't really recommend you buy this one. Quite a bit of backstory is needed to fully appreciate it.

The bigger failure was that Nintendo didn't have any solid launch titles and that explained the slow start more than the $249.99 price tag. Had Nintendo came out with Zelda and Mario for launch, they probably could have rode that price through the holidays and slashed it prior to the Vita launch. Either way it is selling much better now and with plenty of games coming this year and the XL version, it will turn a profit.

That being said, you are right, they rode the Wii into the ground and there just have been a lack of first party titles for it in preperation for the Wii U . . . the Wii still sells but Nintendo overestimated its worth this late into the game and w/o HD.

The Vita is spec wise a better device, but when has that ever been a reason to sell more products in this industry. Nintendo constantly outsells its competition buy giving you exclusive franchise characters and more bang for your buck . . . and you'd expect that trend to continue with the Wii U as well.
