I know this is old but the Q & A section on Best Buy's site has ASUS claiming the only difference is the model number. The screen is the same. Where do you see it's different?
Maybe you are right. Best Buy did this before: change the model number and remove some premium features. They listed this having a HD+ screen, which Asus website states it is 1600x900. But now we have a confirmation from Asus at bestbuy.com that this laptop has indeed IPS 1080p display.
So, we can say that this is clearly a UX31A-DB51.
