This deal is not on the FP ![]() It is in "popular deals", which is completely automated, but it is not a deal that has been front-paged Edited to add: Same as that Lawn Sprinkler from the other day (that some were complaining was on the FP), that was also not on the FP Last edited by brisar; 07-03-2012 at 08:02 AM.. |

![]() However, you are incorrect. This is on today's "Frontpage Slickdeals" list -- the fourth item on the list as of this moment, right between

This deal is absolutely not a Front-Page deal. |

Here is what I see on FP. This deal is not there. |

Hmm, when I set these preferences, I had no idea that it would be sticking things on my FP even though you guys had not marked them as such. It might explain why it seems to me like there have been so many pretty lame FP deals recently -- I think the fact that they are in categories that I am interested in only makes it more obvious that they are merely average deals showing up on the FP. These "preferences" settings may work well for some, but I think I'm going to reset all mine back to neutral (with perhaps a few "dislikes" only), hopefully that will lead to less frustration for me about what is appearing on my FP. |

Now that I understand all this, I think I see that this orange bar to the left might be meant to indicate that this is not a "universal" FP deal, it is just showing up for me only? |

Man, so many haters today. I'm in for one, why not... I've been wanting to tinker with an SSD drive on my desktop for a while, and this is a good price for a little 120gb OS-drive.
For anyone wanting technical info, here's some of what I dug up on the usability and lifespan of this drive: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/...t=18262394 And here's some basic benchmark info (note how even though this drive falls behind in some benchmark metrics, it does quite when actually put to use): http://www.destructoid.com/review...3810.phtml --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

O and one more reason, most MIR are one per household so while they get to advertise $79.99 if you are buying more than one, then you are paying higher. |

In for 1. Have a Agility 3 64Gb as my OS drive in a HTPC and a Vortex 3 in a laptop, both no issues, both bought with a rebate which I got quickly. I still need to upgrade my firmware on both but I've had no issues for 1+ years so I haven't yet. My desktop though is just too damn slow so this is it's new drive.
