I had to bite! This little lens is getting excellent reviews and I don't think we're going to get it any cheaper than this for awhile.

I ordered mine on Monday, but I haven't received any sort of update email. I called them today and they said they "might" get more in stock on Friday. I cancelled and will purchase from some where else.

Bought mine from buydig. they also have a coupon code: bgsaveacool5 and bgsaveacool10. The first one takes 5 off 100 and the second takes 10 off 200. You just need to find a filler for the 10 off 200 so I added a lens filter.

I've had mine for a couple weeks and I think it's a great general purpose walkaround lens. Minimal focus distance is close, decently fast AF, metal mount, and excellent form factor.
http://www.ocabj.net/canon-ef-40m...cake-lens/ I sold my 35 f/1.4L awhile back to pay for a 24-70, so I wanted a smaller, lighter lens back in my kit for throwing on the camera for general walkaround use. The 40mm fits the bill. |

personally.. i'd order from amazon.. never have to pay return/exchange shipping if something goes wrong within the return period. also, their return policy is hard to beat.

Has anybody gotten theirs yet? I ordered on the 6th and still haven't gotten my lens. I did get the backorder email though.
