U.S. posts weak 80,000 jobs gain in June The U.S. created just 80,000 jobs in June as hiring slowed dramatically in the second quarter, confirming that the economy has hit another rough patch. The unemployment rate was unchanged at 8.2%, the Labor Department said Friday. The disappointing employment report adds to fresh worries about the U.S. economy at a time when growth is slowing around the world and Washington is gridlocked about how to address the malaise. Economists surveyed by MarketWatch were expecting a net increase of 100,000 jobs in June. Not surprising to see this slowdown. The US can do better and will next year. |

Demand is the key to reducing unemployment and unused production capacity. The government certainly does have a role in sparking initial expenditure on consumption and investment to get the ball rolling. We got half the stimulus package and therefore half the results. After this election no matter who wins we will see another stimulus package go through.

Wait, I got it, this time is different. And this next time? Totally different. As long as things seem as such, then the illusion is maintained. Fact is, it's not - it's insanity. There is one thing that's 100% certain that will happen come Nov; someone will WIN an election and the people will LOSE {again}. When governments face these situations, as they have time and time again in the past, they steal shit and they don't pay. |

how can this be? Obama told us that if we passed his $1 Trillion boondoggle stimulus plan, we would have 5.6% unemployment now...and we would be over 8% if we did NOT pass it...
