It's a shame really the thumbs down this post is getting from people who obviously don't work in technology. Going to these sort of events and and other forms of training is required to stay on top of your game. LOL at those who said this is a waste of time, for anybody who wants to learn more about Citrix' current offerings, you can't beat this. The movie is just a bonus. This thread does not deserve a thumbs down.

I've seen iron man2, captain America and the last batman thanks to citrix. I actually work with xendesktop so my company pays me to attend.

I'm seeing this one via a dell event though.

Quick question, my invite says the event is between 12:30 and 5:00, does that mean the movie will start AFTER 5:00, or is it included in the four and a half hours? I've gone to other IT events, just none with a movie attached, thanks.

The people who TD probably don’t work in IT, its slick because you would probably go during work hours. So get paid to attend a seminar and watch movie while on the clock…. Slick!

Wow thumbs down on this? I went last year, got a few freebies, free subway meal, 20 min video, 20 min q&a, then watched Captain America in 3D Imax the day before it comes out. That's pretty slick to me. And no you do not have to dress up.

I went to the event today. Walked by the line of Batman fanatics lining up for midnight show :-)
Signup went smoothly, they looked up your name from a list. They attached a wristband and handed me a $10. Visa card for snacks (nice touch). I say the theater was only half full. We sat through a 30 minute or so video of Citrix, followed by 15 min of QA, and then a 15 min break. Before the break they gave away a Kindle by selecting from one of the survey folks filled out.
The movie itself was - hate to say it, a little on the flat side for me. Maybe I'm just getting old <g>.
O yeah.. I'm in IT so getting the quick overview of whats new with Citrix was helpful to me.

i went too. pretty much same thing happened in San Diego, except we got a $15 visa card instead too bad the theater got downgraded from last year (last year was imax 3d with stadium seating).
