$23,150 is MSRP. There should be no need to pay that much for this vehicle.

According to Edmunds, Invoice is $22,370, and the holdback is 3% of MSRP.

So $22,370 - $695 = $21675 is a good starting point.

I think i paid something like 25k out the door for our 2012 last year but that was the lx with the gdi and convience package.

I purchased a 2012 Kia Sorento LX last month. No options other than floor mats. There was a $1500 rebate available, but I did not qualify for any of the other rebates (college grad, military, competitive, loyalty). Financed through Pentagon Federal Credit Union at 1.99% for 60 months.

Here is the breakdown of my deal -
Vehicle Cost - $22,824 (before TTL or rebates)
Out the Door - $23,345 (includes TTL and rebates)

Overall, I think I got a good deal. Invoice for this vehicle is $23,265, so the price I paid was about $450 under invoice. You can probably get a similar deal on a 2013, but when I purchased the rebate was only $1000 on a 2013 (which is one reason why I went with the 2012 - to get the extra $500).

FYI - I negotiated through email and got quotes from about 20 different dealers. Ended up taking the best offer to my local dealer, and they agreed to match.
