I own both the Agility 3 90GB and this Samsung drive. I have heard about Samsung's reliability so I put it in my HTPC.

I have to say, though the Samsung benchmarks better, my Agility 3 noticeably performs better. It destroys my bloated corp image using bitlocker. I cloned my drive and it still is faster than my fresh install in my HTPC using the Samsung drive.

My corp laptop is a Latitude E5410 (OCZ) and my HTPC is a Dell Studio Hybrid (Samsung).

You can't go wrong with this drive, especially at that price point paying for proven reliability.

Could be excellent deal if Newegg would not charge NJ with 8% TAX. How do you know in advance deal like this is coming?

I guess I'll get this instead that M4 deals that wouldnt allow me to use the coupon.

Samsung is faster and a more reliable drive. The M4 has a great thing going for it, but the Samsung 830 is definitely a premium drive in comparison. From my research, I would take it over any other SSD on the market including the Intel 520. I'm convinced it really is the best SSD on the market in terms of both performance and reliability.

What a great price though. Great to see these coming down. The ancient HDD technology is on it's way out! I think within a couple years, mass storage may finally be affordable on an SSD.

ugh I bought the sandisk extreme ssd a week ago and can't return it! How do we know of advance prices like this so I can wait out?

Pay the tax and help your county... SD drives traffic to Newegg and item goes OOS fast. SD get $ from newegg for that traffic and newegg get big fat check from Samsung for selling this many drives in few hours or with in a day. Samsung get more business and market share.

I'm registered to Amazon and would like to Price Match, but have no experience with the process. Also afraid nobody works 3.00AM at amazon and by the morning Newegg run out of SSD-s, so nothing to price match.
