Yes, you can transfer your number. Make sure you are out of ATT contract. Goto costco if you wanted to buy smartphone, else goto t-mobile store. Both have free sim and no activation fees.

$80 - you have to have data until the rebate is processed as well.

I'm on a Classic family plan now. I'm eligible for max handset discount now, my wife won't be until November 19.... I am planning on going to family value plan and buying the device(s) at Costco.

Can both my wife and I get a GS3 each ($390 x 2 = $780) and BOTH get a free GS2 (after rebates)?

Ideally, we'd like to sell both GS2s immediately to defray the cost of the GS3s... From what I read, it seems like this is allowed, but wanted to see if anyone saw fine print I missed, or there's a flaw in my plan.

I'm no expert, but I believe when you look at the rebate, the phones have to be activated on your plan (at lease once within a certain amount of time). And will you have at least 4 lines on this plan? Although you are buying the phones, at Costco they do require a plan - just not the super expensive phone subsidized Classic Plan - i.e. you need to have 4 lines on a Value Plan to get 4 phones at that amount I believe - I think!

I was thinking the same thing. But the rebate isnt BOGO its BOget $150on second. the s3 is 390, the s2 is 330. So you would pay 1440.00 plyus tax and get $300.00 back. You also would need to get data on the third and fourth line which would be $10.00 a month for 24 months. There is the possiblity to call and get data removed from line 3 & 4 once you get the rebates but not guaranteed. Its too much work for a small gain. I am just going to wait a couple weeks and hope the s2 price drops and get two and $150.00 rebate.

I have read all the posts and they are superb for this BOGO deal.
I am not a Costco member and I read the better deal is through them and not T-Mobile.
Does it make sense to become a member and do I need to become one to get the deal?

Does it make any sense with the BOGO on the value plans to go the prepaid route and get Samsung Galaxy Blaze (one for my wife and one for me) and my wife have the $60 plan and I have the $30 (if that would work for me)?

I was not planning on going back to the contract route, however, this deal seems so sweet along with the value plan. I would probably get the Samsung S3 for her and the Samsung S2 for me. We have phone numbers since ages ago we would like to keep. Can we transfer or port them with this deal? (Out of contact with T-Mobile at the present time.)

Any suggestions would be helpful.

We only have 2 lines (one for me and one for my wife) and are not going to be adding any...

I have carefully read the rebate, and (my interpretation) is that you don't need to have (or purchase) a 2nd line for each BOGO offer. It states that this offer is available to someone on an individual plan, and only that you need to make a call on your extended line of service (see excerpt below). I believe 'extended' is just referring to the primary/ first phone line you are extending your contract on...

3rd bullet point under "details' on the right side:

To be eligible for the Rebate Card: (i) your
submitted materials must be validated by T-Mobile;
(ii) you must have an active account meeting the
rebate requirements; and (iii) your handset must
be used to complete at least one call on your

HEre is the mail in rebate for the $150/$80 rebate. I think you need the extra lines with contract and data. The only real question would be if you can remove the data after you get the rebate.

Would I be able to activate a new value for say 5 lines and be able to get two of the S3 offers with two S2 devices and 2x $150 rebates?

I just bought a slightly different deal from T-Mobile.com... An S3 for $279 and a S2 for $50... with $50 back on both... so the S3 was ~ $229 and the S2 was free...

Because of who I work for, I also get a ~ 15% discount and free activations...

I went to costco yesterday and they do not offer the s3 for the value plan. and they said the s2 didnt qualify for any rebates. so are alll the deals dead now through costco?

Yes, S3 is dead now for value plan, but still available for classic plan.
