I use Smart Potato and Media Buddy on WP7 to stream and yes, you could stream anywhere in the world, but only recorded shows. Anyone considering this, makes sure your video card is HDCP compliant. |

There is a work around for this problem, you press ALT+TAB to change the application and you could move your mouse over to the second monitor. |

If I can stream live shows on my LAN.. why not on my WAN? May be I am confusing this with the Slingbox. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

go moca
For anybody that's considering getting this, and using Fios - the recorded files are huge, and can not (at least, not for me) be streamed over WiFi. I found out that a very easy solution for FIOS is to use MoCA (Multimedia Over Coax), by buying a second verizon router and using it as a bridge, so that the connection from your server (recording the shows) to your client is all wired. I tried wireless N, moving the router as close as possible, also tried the power-line adapters which didn't work for me, eventually stumbled upon this in another thread on AVSForums, and it was just as easy as getting a used router from ebay for 35$ and installing it in the other room. see here: http://www.dslreports. |

Been struggling over this purchase for a few months now.
I would only save about $7 a month getting rid of my cable boxes and then I would have to run my xbox 360 every time I watch tv. I know you can boot into media center, but it still isn't as convenient as my cable box. I also already have a single non-cablecard hdtv tuner in my win 7 desktop so i've tried the interface. I have win xp computers at every tv but would need to replace then with win 7 premium boxes or xbox 360s. I also have 2 android tabs and android phones but the support on those is shaky as well. Can anyone comment more on their android experience? |
