You'll need to be more specific about exactly what you're accusing him of in not "invest[ing] in the United States of America" and "not putting his money where his mouth is." You seem to miss the point that he chose someone or some entity to administer his trust. You just don't put a CL ad out there and had over a pile of money to the first person that shows up. He could have simply put his funds with a manager of a US centric mutual fund. He can simply choose someone else to administer his trust right now. I leave others to explain the bare basics of investing to you.

Once again, you're missing the point entirely. The point is that his money is invested outside the US than in it. That's a fact. No one disputes that. Not even Romney. So if that's BS, then Romney is spouting it too. I know it sucks when reality gets in the way of your fantasy life.

Really? How much money? What percentage of his wealth is invested "outside the US" and what are you counting as "outside the US?" For example, is it "outside the US" if he has an investment in a diversified fund which then invests in international companies (or vice versa)? Because a fund where his trust might invest some part of his money is incorporated in for example Bermuda (as many are for various reasons other than evading taxes which in reality that doesn't help at all), and then invests in, for example, Apple, is that cool? Where are his various trusts based?

If you can't answer such questions then you really shouldn't be even raising the issue. His financial disclosures and tax returns are easy to find so you should be able to provide some specific examples to support your claims.

You can also check out the wholly owned by Mitt Romney Bermuda based investment firm of Sankaty High Yield Asset Investors Ltd. Although getting details of what they have as assets is not as easy. That's one of the "benefits" of being Bermuda based. Why couldn't someone running for the President of the United States just base his own company in the US?
