I had a bunch of these before the staycharged ones and they do not hold up nearly as well. You can often get the 4 packs of staycharged ones for about $6-7 when you combine coupons with subscribe and save.

I answered my own question:
The "white top" duracell staycharge ones are rebranded eneloops/japanese, while the "black top" ones are rayovac/chinese. The white tops are considered better, but it sounds like a crap-shoot on which you get from amazon. When did buying batteries get so difficult?! Smilie

I don't get how you ended up with $7.19. Aren't you getting $9.91 minus the $1.50 coupon for the AA 4-pack? My math comes up with $8.41 (plus tax in NY). Even the AAA 4-pack isn't as low as you claim.
