Why we do not have a gaming forum?
There are numerous mags out there for gaming. So why not have gaming forum in SD?

What would be the goal of the gaming forum? Just to talk about games?
IMO the lounge is a great place to get together and talk about games. If it isn't deal related...it belongs in the lounge or podium. |

Why not post in an existing gaming forum?
You don't want to create too many subforums...then it's hard to know where to find everything. Does a gaming deal go in the gaming forum or the hot deals forum? If they go in the gaming forum, how can I track game deals ONLY without wading through all of the other nonsense posts that inevitably pop up in a gaming forum? Go see the Wii & PS3 availability forum for some of the crap I'm talking about. Does it really make sense to have a sticky post in the lounge? It seems like there would be too much to cover and you'd never be able to track all of the parallel conversations in just one thread. I agree with SlickChik - this stuff would fit well into the lounge as normal topics, not a sticky. Most of the posts there aren't on any specific topic. So having some of the threads there actually making sense to normal people would be a welcome change
