I nominate you as the biggest troll of the day. There are differences in quality that some people won't trust their expensive tvs to. Sure some big companies have too much profit built in and some Chinese knock-offs are total crap. It doesn't make either one worse than the other. Just like motorcycle helmets, they all "work", but there is a difference between Snell and DOT ratings. Hope you never wreck in that flea market helmet.

The HDMI cable is worth $1. Big deal.

I wouldn't pay $5 for this setup this time around. It's a garbage mount. Period. Regardless of what other reviews say. I have both Monoprice mounts, and two of these. Go Monoprice.

Any links to comparable mounts in price at monoprice?

I have a 46 Samsung LED on this mount. Planning to mount my 60" LG plasma weighing approximately 90lbs on this. I think it is OK as long as you bolt it properly on a stud. I am more concern on the mount falling from the wall than the TV falling from the mount.
