I'm looking for a corner articulating mount. I pretty much want to mount my 50" panny in the corner and be able to move it up-down, left-right, tilt; any suggestions?

This was on group for 20 bucks a couple of weeks ago.

Yeah... "tilt" is simply the ability to lean the top of the screen toward you. So you can line it up with your viewing angle (like, say, lying on your bed) and/or reduce glare from lights/sun.

This style of mount allows you to slide it left/right a few inches to "center" it as you describe. How far depends on how much space you consume between the vertical hangers. In other words, the left and right vertical hangers limit your left/right travel.

In my experience with 32 - 60" screens... its been between 6 - 4 inches either direction.

I second your comment, especially the piece about the tilt not working well. On mine, I did not want any tilt, but if I tightened the holding screws too much, the plastic rail inserts that are supposed to hold it tight actually buckle inward and it falls forward and tilts. If I don't tighten it enough, obviously the weight of the TV causes it to tilt.

I solved the problem by inserting an extra nut/bolt into the gap so that it cannot tilt forward because the extra bolt is filling the slot. It still tilts a tiny bit, but it's acceptable.

Gotcha. That one probably allows more travel because the footprint (train on the rail) is not as wide as the vertical rails would be on the OP mount. But, same effect.

My suggestion would be to find your two studs and see how far off from your desired center point that would put your mount. If its 2 or 3 inches off to one side or the other... you'll be good with the OP mount.

Hopefully that makes sense.

All that said... there's some really heavy-duty sheetrock anchors at Lowe's/HDepot these days. If you can hit one stud with the lag bolts and you don't plan on using the mount for chin-ups... you'll be fine using stout sheetrock anchors to add some more support/stability.

any reason why this wouldn't work for a 70"? as long as it weighs less than the max it's rated for? is it because the attachments might not go far enough apart to connect to a 70" tv? I though it's all standard hole patterns.

Thanks, will start figuring out stud location and if the swivel range is sufficient to center the TV to my likings.
