Thanks I got the alienware a while back with the alienware keyboard both work well with COD except the keyboard seems a bit slow when I use the knife but that just may be old age creeping up on me. I still finish first often not bad for a ulter kaka. Playing nearly every day for 2 years mouse still works great.

I love my G9x and it's been going strong. I don't use weights but finding the right settings: weights, grip, sensitivity, scroll wheel is excellent.

I've noticed the mouse wheel getting "rounded out" recently from over using it. Otherwise G9x is a great mouse.

I've had the G9 and G9x for years. I upgraded to a G9x for free when Logitech replaced my G9 after about 22-23 months... I only had like a month left on the warranty too

I bought a G9x as a backup some other time it was on sale and both have served me right Great product!

take off and put back on the click button (bottom of the mouse) should readjust itself to it is a little less rounded out... or just take it off and get used to it if your worried about it going out completely.

The G700 is the bees knees. Logitech warranties are amazing. My MX1100 died on me, and got a G9x as a replacement, ended up wanting more versatility and swapped the G9x for the G700, all at no additional cost.

It depends on your hand size and what kind of grip you prefer. Personally, I like mice with a claw grip (like this one) for precision over palm grips (like the g5/500). The g9x has two grips: a smallish one for control and a wider one for comfort. Play around and see what's good for you. I have pretty larger hands and I got used to the smaller one and haven't changed it out since.

I originally had a Razer diamondback and used it for almost ten years. Thought I'd try something different and grabbed the g9x. Didn't like it at first so I purchased a Razer Deathadder (which has more of a palm grip) and retired the g9x to the office. Now, I still love the DeathAdder, but I feel like I prefer the g9x because of how accurate and controlled it feels. I'm pretty sure it's a combination of the small size and the rough texture of the grip, but I can grab the whole thing and have no trouble picking it up and swiping it around, which is fantastic for gaming. With this mouse, I recommend holding the mouse between your thumb, and your ring finger and pinky, rather than pushing it around with your palm; my palm barely makes contact with the mouse itself. With the considerably larger DeathAdder, the feeling is more akin to pushing and dragging. It's less fatiguing but also less refined, IMO.

I'd also like the point out that the middle mouse button is pretty hard to press down. I used it for push-to-talk on for VoIP and it started hurting my finger after a while. That's why I ended up getting the DeathAdder. I later discovered I could just bind push-to-talk to mouse scroll left and everything was great!

TL;DR:
Depends on your grip preference (claw vs palm) and may take a bit of getting used to, but would definitely recommend for any gamer.

OK...first the related material...the G9x (not COD version) is the best mouse I have ever owned so far.

Unrelated but utterly funny - I actually saw a dude over 30 get out of his COD Jeep Wrangler...so lame! Bet the girls are just crazy for him and his toy...lol

I don't think I'm going to take apart a mouse to "possibly" fix that. It's a design flaw and I'm surprised more people don't discuss it. I've only had it for 5 months but I actively use the mouse wheel.

Seems like a good deal, but I'd like to go wireless if I can...

Anyone have input on these in comparison:

Dude, Razer sucks for quality and customer support. I have owned lachesis, deathadder and now tron. Record: 2x lachesis died (laser died after 2.5 wks pf use. 2nd one bluescreened my computer), leftie DA (drivers don't work properly under win 7 64 bit), Tron mouse - laser dies after 6 mos. TWO months I've been waiting on my refurb tron replacement. upon inquiry as to delay, Razer support told me they ran out of replacement Tron mice (i kid you not). Meanwhile i'm using an old mx 518 which i've had now for about 5yrs. Wish it was leftie though b/c I'd stay w/ logitech.

BTW, pardon my typing. I'm eating w/my other hand.

In sum, Razer is worth crap..

If it's for gaming it's better to have a wired mouse. Otherwise I gues that g700 would be ok.
