NY Times: Conservatives are happier than liberals

I agree 100%. I went to a talk given by George Will on campus when I was a college student years ago. He said that his main fear for America's future was that liberal programs were creating a "culture of victimhood" among minorities, wherein all they do is complain about the idea that "everyone's a'gin me." And of course, as "victims," they would feel no pressure to take positive action to improve their lot.

Fast forward to 2010-12. Guess who is constantly whining about their "victimhood?" Rich white conservatives.

Hmm.....did he not also say that these minorities "aks" for handouts all the time?

It is incredible that when people try to pretend that they are even-handed, they slip and display their true feelings. I love these moments of unintended honesty.

But really why demonize people? Why criticizing them is not enough?

It is more than that. As has been mentioned many times, for example, denying racism is the new racism.

Also while say Muslims are profiled, and discriminated against all the time, while athiests are denied employment or participation in civic organizations, while mosques are denied building permissions, while congress opens with a Christian prayer, while scool vouchers are fine and dandy untill an islamic school gets them, etc, etc, etc, if you listened to and believed the extremists Christians, it is Christians and Christianity which is under attack in this country. What chutzpah!

And while the super rich has been raking in billions recently even as this country as a whole has been declining, you keep hearing the same super rich whining that they might be asked to contribute a little more to the same country that has been so good to them. Many of them have threatened that they will pick up their precious ball and leave.
