I realize that Amazon has a bunch of compilation CDs out there.

However, I thought I'd give this one a strong push because, even though it has relatively fewer songs for the price (50 songs for $1.99), the songs on this album are much more well-known than most other classical compilations out there. Plus the quality of the recordings is terrific. It's the perfect album for someone looking to get into classical compositions because you are trimming out a lot of the fat and really getting some of the best of the best. This collection is truly the cream that rises to the top.

Some songs include classic movie themes like Superman, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones, as well as other classics like Greensleeves, Ride of the Valkyrie, the Nutcracker, Four Seasons, Canon in D, Flight of the Bumblebee, Trumpet Voluntary, Fur Elise, Sabre Dance, and lots more.

My wife doesn't like classical music at all. Nix that. She HATES classical music. As someone who grew up listening and playing this stuff, I believe this album may be my best chance to get her to listen to some with me. You really can't miss with this album.

So I know the deal itself is decently slick, but I want to strongly emphasize that this album is all about substance. It is definitely quality over quantity. So take a few minutes and check out the samples. I hope everyone can appreciate just how good this mix of songs is.
