I'd rather buy new when it comes to unexpensive systems that could suffer from everyday use and abuse (moving parts)...but, that's just me...

Also, I know the whole "but you can't get that price NOW so it doesn't count, etc" argument. Just pointing out that it's $43 more (for those of us who have to pay tax on TD sales, and SS charges tax for everyone, I think) for a new unit with a Blu-ray movie I probably won't watch anyway. I'm sure that's worth it for some folks; I'm waiting for another deal on this unit to come around to buy for my mother-in-law and it's not worth the 67% price premium for ME since it will undoubtedly go on sale again as it has several times before I bought mine.
Great unit, though. Easily one of the best players of 2011 and a true SD if the price is right. This price is just okay. |
