All of this Olympics points excitement and I totally spaced that I'll be out of the house for an event for my son from 7pm-10pm EST. I know that some of the 5000 points are for the +200 bonus points and the approx +270 per minute points for checking in the whole time. Is everyone assuming that VL points will be +50? I'm guessing it would have to be at least that much to add up. I wasn't around for Super Bowl, so I don't know how it worked then.

I hate to miss opening ceremonies, so I'll DVR it to watch when I get home. I'm hoping/guessing that VL will be different time zones so I can play along with Pacific VL and still rack up some points. *fingers crossed*

No complaints, though. I maxed out yesterday for this first time since Jet Blue GAWI, and my biggest decision this morning is whether or not to check in to today's shows, or whether to save/skip them. If I check-in to Olympics at 10:30EST (7:30PST) and it runs for 4 1/2 hours, it will credit after the midnight reset, but I wish I knew for sure about when VL would be running questions. The whole time, or just the first or last couple of hours? Thoughts?

Let me understand this properly… your husband redeemed a reward on his account using your phone. When you log in, that particular reward is showing under yours… in your account.
I don't think she's talking about redeeming a reward... I think she's talking about completing one of the offers from the offer wall.. the banner that starts with "21,000..." and involves signing up for netflix or a credit card, etc.

Does anyone know how to clear the history for the Viggle Offer Wall? Hubby used my iPhone to complete an offer on his account. I would like to complete the same offer on my account but it says "Oops! Looks like you have completed this offer." I have tried clearing history and cookies in the safari settings but it hasn't helped.
Have you tried deleting the app and reinstalling? Maybe there's some file stored locally in your viggle app that says that you completed that same offer.

On some of the Viggle Lives, before you start it will ask you what time zone you are in so it can time when to send you each question. It doesn't have anything to do with checking in. Once you check in to a show, then you can't get the bonus points for it if you check into it again Smilie

I'm just guessing of course but I expect a lot of the available points will be for predictions. We may have to guess if a particular country or athlete will medal in a particular event or something like that. Predictions were a major part of the big points available for other "events" like the Oscars and Superbowl.

i am at central and i might not be available by 730pm for the olympics. so would it be better to do the VL by selecting pacific to have a 2 hour delay?

Morning all!

I maxed out last night way before VL, so didn't join you in the chat. I'll be at work for tonight's Olympics fun, so I'll probably just add to the Genius wiki all day...

Happy Viggling, and thanks to all woot

The problem with saving last night's shows is when are you going to save them for? The Olympics run for 3 weeks and the bonus points will be taken off by then.

Surely you will have your phone with you, so do a manual check in for the Opening Ceremonies at 7:30 while you're out and about. The viewing points will go toward today. Then, when you get home, do Viggle Live for the Pacific time zone. You don't have to be checked into that show to do VL.

If it weren't for the HR Derby games, this morning reset would have been terrible.

Thanks for the tip! I heard some people guessing that the predictions would be during actual events but not opening ceremonies. I guess we'll have to wait and find out, but there's got to be some big prediction points to add up to 5K! Smilie

I'd thought of this, too, but now that you can't manually check-in for shows longer than 1 hr, that's not an option. I guess I'll just check-in to the morning shows (already did GMA) and anything later that I can manage, and then save the Olympics for when I get home. I'll be an honorary West Coaster while I watch my DVRd Olympics! THANKS for the info!

I thought you can manually check in to shows over an hour if they were sports shows?

I guess that depends if they consider it a sporting event or not. I know it's not an actual event, but you'd think this would still be considered sports. Even if you did get checked out after an hour, you'd still get the check in bonus. You'd just miss out on a few viewing points.

Actually, viggle allows manual check in of 60+ minute shows if they are sports. Now, do we all consider the Olympics sports, sure we do. If viggle does is another question, but I think I did see someone last night say that they manually checked into the Olympic soccer game that was on with no issues.
