United MileagePlus Customer Appreciation
Had a significant flight delay on United last night and now they're offering one of these three options to show they still care.
Thoughts on which one to take?
I'm leaning toward $150 because most of my fares are <$500 and I would rather be earning miles toward elite status than miles just for redemption. I will travel >25k miles so will hit the lowest status level. I generally save my miles for last minute flights (funerals, significant sporting events) when paying for a flight would be $600-900. Those redeemed flights generally go for 25k to 50k round trip (thus 7k is between 28-14% of the cost; cost ranges from $85-170 of a $600 flight, or $125-250 of a $900 flight)
