well said, I'm the one (being I'm the wife) who make all of them in my house and I do enjoy doing it but it is VERY time consuming. I'm starting to make them a bit faster (getting the hang of it), but they are well worth the $. btw, I really like your signature, I also don't deserve it, but Christ got me a free ticket to heaven and I'm all in. SD's got me sooo many deals, self-control has kept me from getting too many, haha...

I have found that it is much easier to take your time to get photo books done and YES it takes a long time to do one so plan ahead and start working on it now and then save it so you have it all good to go when a code comes up. You can save projects well ahead of time and make changes right before you order if needed. Most of the free photo books are the 8 x 8 so I would stick to that size in most cases. I have done probably 5 or so and I have been very happy with Shutterfly. The only caution I have is if it says your resolution is not high enough - change the frame size of the picture or it will print wonky.

There is also an app to upload photos - great for pics on iPhone while on trip for safe keeping!

Where ( whom ) does the $1 go to? Just says cancer research. That is pretty vague to me.

Yea, my wife enjoys it as well, but stressed out about it as well, demanding that it be perfect

Self-control does become VERY important on this site! The wife laughs half the time i tell her what i bought, but since i rarely buy things anyhow, she tends to always be ok with it

Agree, it's odd that where the $1 goes isn't even mentioned in the fine print.

It's still a good deal even if they pocket the dollar, but seems kind of shady to make it sound like a good deal AND a good deed if they aren't going to be open about what "cancer research" organization is getting the $$.

For, those looking for free ship codes - I would advise signing up for their emails. I got a free ship code offer at the tail-end of last month. It was a "refer 5 friends" deal where they got a free book and you got a free shipping code on books (up to 5 uses - expires 7/31). So well worth it! I too work on my books over time and sort of just wait for a deal. This was great timing for me. I had a free book from Target and I got a few frees ones from MCR when they were a mere 100pts, so aside from the points, I got 4 of my books for free! I'll use the last one before it expires and be in for 5 of them. I'm tickled pink over how it worked out!

Does anyone know if you have to use their templates or can you just make each page the entire photo you want? I mean, can you do it without all of their "borders" and "framing"?

So I know you can't do more thna 1 of this offer, but can you order 1 book using a code from this deal, and then a code from another offer? I'm thinking 3 different free book codes, but all on one order. I would need extra pages for each book that would total $30 for free shipping. Anything have experience with this kind of ordering?

Yes, the picture can take up the whole page without any borders/framing/etc.
